The End Is Just The Beginning

One of the most important aspects I have learned in designing sound research is the idea of being patient. One cannot do the depth of research needed for large projects in one go. Without the ability of time management and patience, no significant research would be done. This class also taught me that my role is so much more than just making what others say easier for the masses to understand. We are more than interpreters of other people's research. As technical writers and digital rhetoricians, we are researchers in our own field that has a lot to offer the world. I'm glad I had a chance to take a class from Florence. I will miss seeing her weekly.

Editing, Editing, and More Editing

My main goal for revisions is just to fill everything out. I have a basic plan for what I want to do and how I want to write it, so now I just need to do it. I also appreciated Emma's suggestion that I needed to clarify the type of narrative structure I planned to use in my analysis because I mentioned more than one in my literature review. My plan is to focus on Labov's structure because it is the simplest version. Labov's seems to be narrative structure broken into its smallest forms which are perfect for YouTube videos. Especially since YouTube videos tend not me be much longer than 20 minutes.
